What a summer!
As usual summer meant Greater Portland Area AGD Alumnae were busy.
The annual “Beach Weekend” The last weekend in July sees Ocean Park, WA become AGD central. The annual event was held July 25-27 at Muriel Raz’s beach house.
It was marked by great conversations, walks along the beach and a nice bit of shopping for good measure. It could easily be said “a good time was had by all!”
Everyone had fun helping the campers check in. Alpha Gams went the first two Sunday's in August to help first, second and third graders check in for camp. They gave the volunteers lunch and
t-shirts.
Volunteers helped by giving the campers their name tags, shirts and talked to them as they arrived and helped them settle in for their week of camping. There are 10 weeks of camp a year with over 400 campers attending for the summer. Each campership costs $350.00

Diabetes Foundation Annual Fundraising Auction
One way we can support our chosen philanthropy is by supporting events like the fifth annual Foresters Silent Auction.
As we learn the details, we will be updating our web site as well as e-mailing members.
2008 Christmas Tea
The fifteenth annual Christmas Tea will be on December 13th. And, as always, we will need lots of homemade cookies. We sell out every year. Please deliver cookies to Addie by Wednesday December 11th.
We will also be showcasing an assortment of hand made gifts and gourmet food items! Share your talents and make some items for our Christmas Gift Boutique. Let Jenny Roehm know if you plan to make items for the boutique so we can properly display all items. Jenny can be reached at (503)880-2065 or jlroehm@hotmail.com.
AGD Express brought in the visitors in 2007
Thanks to all who attended, helped and donated to our 2007 Christmas Tea.
The event is always well attended. We again had a house FULL of Alpha Gams and guests attending the fundraiser. We were able to sponsor several campers to Gales Creek Camp with the proceeds from the silent auction.
